Thurlton Community Shop Fund
To improve the health and well being of our local community!

As a Community Interest Company (CIC) we are using our profits to support our local community.

We are doing this in partnership with the

Norfolk Community Foundation NCF

who are holding and managing the fund for us.

Purpose of the Fund

The fund is to improve the health and wellbeing of the local community.

This can be related to, but not limited to, arts and history, sports and recreation, the environment and conservation, improved facilities, access to facilities, education, training, and social activities.

Aligned with NCF policy we will not fund retrospective spending, statutory provision, or animal and religious groups unless there is a clear and broader community benefit.

Geographical Area of Beneficiaries

The local community is defined as residents within a 3-mile radius of Thurlton Community Store, excluding areas beyond the rivers Chet, Yare, New Cut and Waveney. I.e. the villages of Thurlton, Norton Subcourse, Haddiscoe, Hales, Maypole Green, Nogdam End, Raveningham, Thorpe next Haddiscoe and Toft Monks.

The primary beneficiaries of every application must be residents of the fund’s geographical area but may include additional beneficiaries from outside the geographical area.

Applications

We aim to open the first application round in early September, closing at the end of October.

A total of £9,000 will be available with a maximum of £2,000 per grant.

Applications should be made to NCF (norfolkfoundation.com/grants, 01603 623 958).
