Meats
A J Wards Butchers
We have twice weekly supplies of meat locally sourced from East Anglia from A J Ward - traditional skilled butchers in Loddon who have been supplying the local community since 1881.
Thatched House Farm
We stock frozen meat from Thatched House Farm, a small working farm in Thurlton on the edge of the Norfolk Broads. They dedicate their time to raising rare breed, out-door bred British Lop pigs and marsh-grazed lamb, hogget and mutton for quality produce. Their small scale allows us to pay close attention to the welfare of each individual animal.
Thickthorn Farm
We stock frozen meat from Thickthorn Farm, a family run smallholding based on the edge of the Haddiscoe marshes. They are first-generation small-scale farmers, seasonally producing top quality, high welfare meats. They provide us with beef from their Dexter cattle, grass-fed lamb and mutton from their flock of sheep and pork from their small herd of pedigree Duroc pigs. Their pigs are kept free range and are fed on a locally grown and milled feed that is 100% soya-free.
Maisebrooke Farm
We stock frozen meat from Maisebrooke Farm - a small farm, shop and butchery at Ship Meadow, who were named the "Best Small Retailer" at the national Eat Game Awards 2024. They breed and rear their own free range wild boar, pigs and chicken. The meat is butchered on site for the freshest taste possible. They also provide seasonal game.
Alcohol
Adnams
Our main supplier of alcohol is Adnams. This includes beers brewed at their brewery, and gins distilled at their distillery, in Southwold, along with wines bottled specifically for them from selected small vineyards. From time to time Adnams run wine tastings for us in our shop.
Tindall Ales Brewery
We stock a number of modern bottled beers from award winning Tindal Brewery based in Seething.
Walnut Tree Distillery
Award winning Walnut Tree Distillery Ltd. is one piece of a Norfolk family farm, dating back over 100 years, in the beautiful Breckland district of rural Norfolk.
The distillery forms part of the old dairy building and the gins are small-batch distilled in custom made milk churn stills. All of their spirits contain botanicals, hand-picked on the farm, and are made using natural Norfolk spring water from their very own well.
The People's Brewery
The People’s Brewery is our village's micro-brewery. It was set up in 2012 to provide traditional beers for the our local pub The Queen’s Head. Seasonal beers are sold in bottles in the shop.
Ampersand Brew Co.
Ampersand is a small modern progressive brewery based in Norfolk on the Suffolk border brewing a range of core and seasonal beers.
Started in a converted barn on the family farm they have now expanded and moved to their current site in Diss. We stock a range of their canned beers.
Humpty Dumpty Brewery
Humpty Dumpty Brewery is based in Reedham, just across the river Yare from Thurlton. They have been producing quality real ales for over 15 years.

Hillfield Nursery & Farm Shop
The orchards at nearby Hillfield's produce thousands of apples each year which they send off to be pressed into their locally famous Hillfield Apple Juice. We stock a selection of their juices from their 20 to 30 different varieties ranging from sweet through to sharp - each with its own special characteristics.

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​We stock honey made by the bees in hives in the garden of the People's Brewery.
The Pink Tiffin
Born into a Kenyan Sikh family now living in Bungay, The Pink Tiffin’s owner, Sandip, is passionate about recreating the flavours from his childhood. They try to source as many of their ingredients as they can locally to minimise food miles and boost the local economy. They are also committed to donating some of our profits to charity. We stock a range of their frozen chicken, lamb, and vegetable curries, as well as various dahls.
Clinks Care Farm
Clinks Farm is a 143 acre farm in Toft Monks on the border of Norfolk and Suffolk, and combines the care of the land with the care of people.
Clinks Care Farm is a social enterprise, and was started in 2010 to offer placements to disadvantaged people to use the natural farm environment and the activities on the farm as a therapeutic space and a place to learn and grow.
We have a regular supply of their eggs as well as stocking their potatoes.
The Flower Field At Stubbs Barn
Stubbs Barn is set in seven acres of gardens, orchard and paddocks. As well as the formal gardens, there is a large kitchen garden and a cut flower garden. We stock tasty jams and preserves made from seasonal produce from this flower field.
Harris & James
Harris & James of Beccles are a Bean to Bar chocolate maker. They source their cacao direct from trusted growers, offering above market rate to get the best cacao beans. This means they can roast at lower temperatures, giving their chocolate a more full-bodied flavour, imbued with the natural character of the growing region. Only 1% of chocolate globally is made this way.
Brick Pizza
We stock frozen Brick pizzas which have been hand-crafted from beginning to end using traditional Neapolitan methods. For their sauces, meats, and flour, Brick source all of their ingredients from Italy and work closely with a handful of Norfolk farmers, suppliers and producers to ensure their vegetables are of the highest possible quality.
